Three children were burnt beyond recognition in their residential home at Itireleng RDP houses in Rooiberg outside Bela-Bela.
It is alleged that on Wednesday morning at about 03:30, the children, eight, ten and thirteen-year old boys were burnt beyond recognition while sleeping alone in a shack attached to the main house while their uncle was sleeping in the RDP house.
Following the news of the incident, Limpopo SAPS says, the cause of fire is still unknown but the forensic investigations will reveal more details. They add that, “We condemn poor child safety in the strongest terms. Members of community are advised and encouraged to put child safety first.”
Police investigations are still underway.
