Pride News is a Limpopo based print and online publication and is one of the leading Newspapers, the content and distribution of the print version is distributed every Thursday and covers five districts of the Limpopo province namely; Capricorn, Mopani, Vhembe, Sekhukhune and Waterberg.
Established in 2017, by black youth born in Limpopo, the publication is owned by Mapungubwe Publishers (Pty) Ltd and seeks to address the lack of black owned media houses which tell stories of black communities with pride in the province.
The newspaper has developed a rich heritage as the most entertaining, refreshing, authoritative, detailed and reader friendly newspaper in the Limpopo Province. It is affordable (R3.00), accessible across Limpopo, relevant and easy to read. The newspaper comes in 16-24 full colour pages printed in the A3 international broadsheet format. The printer is printed by PENIT Printers and distributed by South Africa’s leading distributor, reaching the whole of the Limpopo Province.

Pride News is different from other publications in the country because of its quest to tell stories that inspire the black community. It aims to encourage black excellence and instil a sense of pride in telling stories of our communities and its people.
For black and youth owned businesses, Pride News seeks to use its platform to educate and inform the black community about the strength of their buying power and foster an environment where black advertisers speak directly to their target market.

The Founders
Tshimangadzo Mphaphuli
Tshimangadzo Mphaphuli holds a BA Journalism from the University of Johannesburg and an NQFL 8 Media Management from the University of Witwatersrand. She has experience in consumer print publications, corporate publications, business-to-business publications as well as marketing, public relations and below-the-line advertising.
Katekani Makhubele
Katekani Makhubele is currently studying towards completing her National Diploma in Public Relations Management. She has over 6 years’ experience in the media industry, specifically having worked in the POWER 987 newsroom as a reporter/news anchor and is now the content producer of Capricorn FM talk.
Eddy Phaswana
Eddy is the executive chairman of Mapungubwe Publishers, a future leader publications company that inspires and teaches cultural values while building entrepreneurs. He has numerous publications under the award winning company Kalahari Productions and Booksellers. Eddy has published a best selling learner support material entitled ‘Kha ri di tongise with over 400 000 copies sold. He is a proud African industrialist and has a riveting story to tell around the growth of his successful businesses in South Africa.
Jeffry Mogale
Jeffrey Mogale holds a BA of Arts (Media Studies) from the University of Venda. He worked as a freelance Journalist at Daily Sun Newspaper, The Valley Messenger, Researcher for Kagiso TV and Communication, Field Reporter for Capricorn FM, Correspondent for ANN7.
Mulalo Masisi
commonly known as Giga, is a professional information technology specialist, computing forensic expect, an entrepreneur, a Christian and a leader who possesses leadership wisdom that belies his age. Mulalo’s vision transforms marketing into a fantasy worlds of digital media with profitable and long lasting relationships. Mulalo holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with the Management College of South Africa.
