Requirements: Candidate must possess a Matric / Grade 12 coupled with two years’ experience working in a Library. Knowledge of IT and Millennium System will be an added advantage. Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for servicing the main issue desk in the evening. Issuing and returning of main desk books from Library users. Processing of library fines, placing books on hold for users and blocking of students with library fines during examination periods. Job Description:

Pride News is seeking a dynamic Writer/Content Contributor to join the Pride News Team and deliver best-in-class content across our digital marketing programs. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team of digital marketers and have access to cutting edge technology while helping shape a growing marketing initiative.

The Writer/Content Contributor role will focus on writing and editing technical articles, banner and email copy, and other marketing materials for pridenews.co.za. This role involves writing for varied audiences, including engineers, buyers, and makers. The ideal candidate is an extremely competent writer, with a marketing background and passion for engineering, technology, and/or embedded electronics. Writing assignments will range from banner copy to thought leadership articles, video scripts to newsletter copy, and everything in between.

Role Requirements

    • 1-2 years of experience developing and executing social media strategies.
    • Background in publishing, ideally in editorial or public relations roles at news media companies.
    • Experience generating content for social media is critical.
    • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.  Editorial sensibilities that align with Pride News’s voice, tone, and editorial POV.
    • Knowledge of industry and competitors in the space.
    • Substantial experience with social media and CMS enterprise such as SocialFlow, Bit.ly, Twitter Analytics, and Facebook Insights.
